The website and iOS apps for the New York Times are currently unresponsive.
Users attempting to visit NYTimes.com are met with HTTP errors or "could not find" errors in their browser. The outage appeared to have started at approximately 11:20 a.m. EDT, with problems starting as of 11:30 a.m. EDT. We reached out to the New York Times for comment but have not received a response.
The Times responded to a CNBC reporter, confirming the obvious:

It's rare that websites as large and as trafficked as the New York Times experience this kind of sustained downtime. The fact that the mobile apps are also down suggests there may be a larger server problem involved. Read more...
