Bass Dogs is strumming its way into the Internet's pup-loving heart.
Scottish artist Michael (no last name — like Cher) had a simple approach to his Bass Dogs Tumblr project: find a photograph of a musician playing a guitar, remove the instrument and replace it with a cute, smiling dog
Michael explained to Mashable his thought process behind his canine-crazed Internet creation
"It's pretty self-explanatory," he said. "I think people who play the bass with their fingers look like they're tickling hairy dogs."
He's right. Musicians in the Photoshopped pictures include Steve Harris of Iron Maiden, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, Geddy Lee of Rush and Shane Embry of Napalm Death.
