Jeff Bezos just acquired The Washington Post for $ 250 million.
As we noted, WaPo isn't Bezos' first foray into media investments. Back in April, Bezos led a $ 5 million investment round in Business Insider as part of his venture fund, Bezos Expeditions.
Bezos' investment portfolio is, shall we say, "eclectic." Amazon's co-founder and CEO is worth an estimated $ 28 billion and he enjoys investing money not just in media, but in museums, space technology and clocks.
