Twitter has appointed its first female board member: Marjorie Scardino.
Scardino previously served as the CEO of Pearson for more than a decade and helped it grow into a leading publishing and education company. She stepped down from that position in late 2012
Twitter announced the news in a tweet Thursday morning:
We're pleased to welcome @marjscar to our board of directors.
